Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a contract between you and HUNG DUONG (individual, Hanoi, Vietnam) ("VELU", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the VELU app or velu.health, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use VELU.

You must be 17 or older to use VELU.

2. What VELU is — and isn't

VELU is a wellness recovery tracker: you log releases, and VELU computes a recovery score, readiness state, forecast and a daily plan.

VELU is not a medical device and provides no medical advice. Scores, states, forecasts and plans are informational estimates about patterns — not diagnoses, treatment or professional care. Decisions about your health are yours, ideally with a professional.

3. Your account

  • Keep your credentials to yourself; you're responsible for activity on your account.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it current.
  • One account per person, for personal, non-commercial use.

4. Free and Pro

The core tracker is free. VELU Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) that unlocks the AI Daily Plan, Recovery Intelligence, forecasts, Smart Suggestions and full history. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.

5. Billing, renewal, cancellation

  • App Store: payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Subscriptions auto-renew at the same price and period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store settings.
  • Google Play: payment is charged to your Google account at confirmation, and subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled in Google Play settings before the current period ends.
  • Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their store policies.
  • If we change a price, it applies from your next renewal and we'll surface it in advance.

6. Fair use

Don't misuse VELU. That includes: breaking the law with it, probing or disrupting our systems, scraping, reselling access, reverse-engineering the scoring engine, or trying to extract other people's data (there is none to extract — accounts are private by design).

7. Your content and your data

Your logs are yours. You give us the limited license needed to store and process them to run VELU for you — nothing more. Privacy is covered in detail in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

8. Our stuff

The VELU app, website, brand, the DeerFace mascot, and the scoring engine are our intellectual property. These Terms give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app — not to copy, modify or redistribute it.

9. Changes to the service

We ship improvements continuously and may change, suspend or retire features (or the service) over time. If a change materially reduces what a paid subscription includes, we'll tell you and you can cancel before your next renewal.

10. Disclaimers

VELU is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't warrant that scores or forecasts are accurate for you personally, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, VELU will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.

12. Termination

You can stop using VELU and delete your account anytime in Profile → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms. Sections that by nature should survive (7, 8, 10, 11, 13) survive termination.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, and disputes belong to the competent courts of Hanoi, Vietnam, unless mandatory consumer law where you live says otherwise.

14. App-store terms

If you downloaded VELU from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the extent it grants you more protection, and Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the app. Google Play downloads are additionally subject to Google Play's terms of service.
